| | Season finales on deckMay 11, 2011 - Terry J. AmanJust a brief note this week to talk about a couple of season finales on my radar. 'Chuck' The run-up to the fourth season finale of “Chuck” this week was upsetting, to say the least. On the very eve of Chuck and Sarah’s wedding, international ne’er-do-well Vivian Volkoff – daughter of Alexei Volkoff, recently revealed as alter ego of former CIA operative Hartley Winterbottom before he was transformed actually by Chuck’s father – has targeted Sarah for assassination. Will she survive? Anyone thinking Chuck and Sarah’s wedding would settle the show into a boring domesticity clearly forgot its roots as a spy drama, (however comic). “Chuck” airs Monday at 8/7c on NBC. ‘Desperate Housewives’ Also, even though this show has been getting on my nerves lately, I will be tuning in to the two-hour season finale of “Desperate Housewives,” if only to see if show-runner Marc Cherry is seriously going to break up Tom and Lynette Scavo’s marriage over disputed vacation plans. Yes, the Scavos are becoming the Bickersons and it’s upsetting their daughter. Meanwhile, the Solis daughters believe Bree had something to do with their grandmother’s death, and Paul Young has called the police in to investigate because he has good reason to believe Susan is poisoning him. Of course it’s really just nasty neighbor Felicia Tillman up to her usual brand of no-goodniks. But they’ve got two hours to work with, so we’ll see how well that stays hidden. “Desperate Housewives” airs at 9/8c Sunday on ABC. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
