Farmers may be badly hurt by President Trump

If he continues to rile China by his thoughtless remarks and actions, they may well stop buying our wheat, soybeans and other produce.
Farmers have worked for decades to court and win customers all over the world, including from enemies like the Soviet Union, Communist China and Communist Cuba. Trade missions have been successful even with sharp political differences between nations.
Trump could scuttle all that success, by careless words or actions. He may well start a trade war with China and other major customers.
Yet farmers voted for big city boy Trump. Who knows what he thinks of huge subsidies for big farms? He may see them as wasteful and unnecessary welfare programs to be scrapped.
We shall see.
