Stenehjem stood by the poor

There is a very good reason why Wayne Stenehjem joined a group of other attorneys general and asked for a U.S. Supreme Court decision on Obamacare.

Our state chose to have North Dakotans use the federal exchange to choose a medical insurance provider rather than set up our own state exchange. When a low-income person or family purchased medical insurance through the exchange from one of these providers, they were able to get a subsidy to help them afford the premium, based on their income and situation.

Wayne Stenehjem, by taking part in the lawsuit, was working to help these people continue to have subsidies to help them afford medical insurance.

Would Doug Burgum have just abandoned the North Dakota working poor, who by law are required to have medical insurance?
