It takes a community and we thank you

Ben Berg & Kristi Jost, junior class advisors

On behalf of the Minot High School students, a huge thank you to all of the community members who helped make our 2016 Grand March and Prom a success! Grand March and Prom were held on Saturday, April 2 at the Minot Municipal Auditorium. The evening was highly anticipated by many students for several months and has now become a lasting memory which will be discussed for years to come!

The time, talents, and efforts of many people and organizations came together to create an elegant, fun, and safe environment for our students. To everyone involved: the time and effort you gave to the students was noticed and is very much appreciated.

The auditorium staff was very accommodating and put in long hours to meet our every request. Your hospitality and assistance was outstanding!

Thank you to DeLisimo Cafe and Cookies for You for the delicious hors d’oeuvres and desserts! Your work helped to feed the hundreds of hungry, dancing students throughout the evening. Thank you to the parents and other chaperones who volunteered to work and assist where needed. Minot State University Student Ambassadors, members of the U.S. Army, and Minot Optimist Club served as ushers and helped to ensure all parents and special guests had a seat at Grand March. We also recognize our financial sponsors: Dakota Agronomy, Sun Prairie Grain, and Sommers & Prestwich Orthodontics.

Additionally, we thank the DJ, Ward Lamon, for the music, Dude Walker for his production services, and Bob Lindee for his videography skills. Kudos to the Kiwanis Club and Minot Moose Lodge and for hosting and organizing the After Prom Party. What a great experience for the students to interact with community leaders in a fun environment!

Everyone involved helped to make our “Stroll Through Central Park” a memorable experience for all! Thank you to our community for working together to make this a special event for our students.
