Karen’s greatest passion
in life was helping others.
She proudly became a Re-
gistered Nurse in Minot,
ND and continued her
career in Iowa, Kansas
and Washington State.
She devoted her life to the
improvement of mental
health treatment and act-
ed as a clinical manager
and Director of Nursing
for mental health hospi-
tals in the Seattle region.
Karen had a vivacious
spirit and contagious posi-
tivity that affected all
those in her presence. She
had a curiosity for life, the
gift of gab and always
remarked that she “never
met a stranger”. She was a
green thumb in the gar-
den, an avid shopper, a
fierce film buff and loved
all things entertainment.
Her laughter was conta-
gious, her humor quirky
and her beauty bright.
Karen will be remem-
bered always as someone
who loved with all her
heart and will be truly
missed by many, includ-
ing her grandchildren
who know her as NiNi.

tember 2nd at Gilbertson

wood, Washington. Her
family will be hosting a
celebration of life directly
following her service at
her home on Lake
McMurray where she
planned to retire and live
out the rest of her life sur-
rounded by friends and
family.
