turday, June 2, 2018 at

Bethel Lutheran Home in

Williston, ND. Springan

Lutheran Church in New

Town, ND. Pastor Robert

Schmidt will be officiat-

ing and interment will be

in the Riverview

Cemetery of Sanish in

New Town, ND.

Visitation is Tuesday,

June 12, from 11:00 am to

2:00 pm at Bethel Luth-

eran Church in New

Town, followed by a fami-

ly service at 2:00 pm and

one hour prior to service

time at the church.

Roger Anderson was

born June 28, 1930 in

Minot, ND to Rudolph

and Lillian (Sattergren)

Anderson. He was raised

on the family farm his fa-

ther homesteaded in 1916.

Roger attended elementa-ry school in Mountrail

County and graduated

from Sanish in 1948. He

entered the Army in

February of 1951, serving

for 2 years at Fort Carson

Co.

On March 17, 1973

Roger married Marion Lee

and also inherited 8 kids.

Roger enjoyed spending

time with family, espe-

cially his grandchildren

and great-grandchildren;

who were not afraid of his

voice. Together, Marion

and Roger farmed until

their retirement. Farming

was his main occupation

and also spent many years

as a rural mail carrier. He

also worked at the FUO

station and spent many

years on the Howie TWP

Board; along with driving

a school bus and custom

combining with Gene

Pennington.

Roger enjoyed horses

and rode steers in the

Sanish Rodeo. He was an

avid hunter, spending 50

years doing so with Ray-

mond Blegen. Roger was a

member of the Bethel

Lutheran Church, 4 Bears

Saddle Club, American

Legion, Eagles in Watford

City, served on the Eleva-

tor Boards and was a past

member of the Elks in

Minot.

Everyone knew where

Roger was by his voice,

which will be missed.

He is preceded in death

by his parents, Rudolph

and Lillian Anderson; his

son, Gary Lee; grandson,

Cody Larson and by his

great-grandsons, Jalen Lee

and Tayler Fladeland.

Roger is survived by

his children, Sharon (Cal-

vin) Brown, Alan (Debbie)

Lee, Mark (Cheryl) Lee,

Keith (Stella) Lee, Aneda

(Jack) Fladeland, Tammy

(Pem) Hall, Sheri (Gary)

Danks; 21 grandchildren,

45 great-grandchildren, 8

great-great-grandchildren;

Roger’s brother, Leonard

Anderson; his nephew,

Mark Anderson and by

his niece, Nola Anderson.
