LeRoy C. Ringsaker, 41,

Minot, passed away Fri-

day, February 16, 2018, at

his residence.

LeRoy was born on June

22, 1976, in Minot, North

Dakota, to Robert and Lin-

da (Gottschall) Ringsaker.

He was baptized at Con-

cordia Lutheran Church

in Benedict and con-

firmed at St. Paul’s Luth-

eran Church in Minot,

where he was a lifelong

member. LeRoy lived all

his life in Minot, attend-

ing Perkett, McKinley,

and Edison Elementary

before continuing on to

Jim Hill Middle School,

Central Campus, and fi-

nally Minot High School.

He graduated in 1995.

While growing up,

LeRoy lived across the

street from Dizzy the

Clown. LeRoy and his

friends would help Dizzy

fix up his yard and the

carnival rides from

Lunders Kiddyland. They

would also travel to dif-

ferent towns to operate

the rides. In his younger

years LeRoy also played

basketball and went to

Boy Scouts.

LeRoy worked at many

trades both growing up

and as an adult. He was a

dishwasher at Schatz’s

Truck Stop for a number

of years, delivered water

for Granite Springs, and

worked with his father

and brother at their roto-

tilling and lawn service.

In addition, he would

work the occasional odd

job when he could. His

most recent job was in the

automotive department of


Family and friends

were important to LeRoy

and he loved to spend as

much time as he could

with them. LeRoy was

happiest when he was

with his companion Bren-

da Logelin, her daughter

Krista Logelin, and their

daughter Ashley Ringsak-

er. He was always willing

to help someone move

into a new place, mow a

lawn, or just help in any

way that was needed and

was always very kind.

LeRoy also loved fishing,

hunting, and being in

pool leagues with his

friends. He was a member

of the Free Masons as well

as the Shriners.

LeRoy is survived by

his parents; brother John

Ringsaker, Minot; sister

Mandy (Joe) Goodman,

Marionville, MO, and

their kids: Joshua, Joseph,

Jr., Mathew, Alanna, and

Paul; and companion

Brenda Logelin; step-

daughter Krista Logelin;

and daughter Ashley

Ringsaker, all of Minot;

aunts: Carol Piper, There-

sa (Bruce) Levy, and

Florence Nyberg, all of

Minot, Debbie Ringsaker,

Fargo, Connie Culvorson,

Arkansas City, KS, and

Gail Murphy, Montgom-

ery, AL; uncles: Kelly

Gottschall, Minot, James

(Joyce) Ringsaker, and

Timothy (Kate) Ward,

both of Pontiac, MS; and

numerous cousins.

He was preceded in

death by his maternal

grandparents John and

Winifred (Melin) Gott-

schall; paternal grandpar-

ents LeRoy and Barbara

(Schultz) Ringsaker and

step-grandfather Auman

Ward; aunts: Beverly

(Gottschall) Bauer and Di-

ane Ringsaker; and un-

cles: Ronald Ringsaker

and Earl Nyberg.

A funeral service will

be held on Thursday,

February 22, 2018, at

10:30 am at St. Paul’s

Lutheran Church in Minot

with burial to follow at

Rosehill Memorial Park,

Minot. Visitation will be

on Wednesday, February

21, from 4-7:00 pm at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home in Minot with a

time of sharing and

remembrance to begin at
