Kenneth W. Fry passed

away peacefully on Febru-

ary 17, 2018, surrounded

by family at the age of 76.

Born on August 13, 1941,

to Henry and Margareta

Fry in Edmonton, Canada,

and preceded in death by

his brother, Rev. Henry


Ken will be dearly

missed by his wife of 48

years, Mary Ann; children

Heidi Freske (Kyle), Ken

(Wendy), Kara, David

(Becca) and Amy Hall

(Nick); grandchildren

Payne, Macy, Jorey,

Hunter, Grady, Luke,

Emmeline and William;

brother, Rev. Victor

(Becky) Fry; sister, Grace

Lavers (Jack), sister-

in-law, Ruth Fry and

many nieces, nephews,

family and friends.

Ken graduated from

Wahpeton High School in

1959 and participated in

football, basketball and

baseball. He went on to

get his Bachelor’s Degree

from Valley City State,

where he played basket-

ball and golf. He earned

his Masters of Adminis-

tration from North Dakota

State University. One of

his favorite memories was

working for the Forest

Service in Idaho during

the summer months. He

was a teacher at Velva

High school in N.D.,

where he met his wife and

eventually became the

principal. He was the su-

perintendent in Linton,

N.D., before moving to the

Twin Cities in 1984. Ken

worked for Unisys and

then DARTS until his re-

tirement. Ken had a pas-

sion for hunting, fishing

and playing golf. Later in

life watching his children

and grandchildren in their

various activities was his

favorite pastime.

Visitation 4-7 PM, Wed-

nesday, Feb. 21, at Henry

W. Anderson Mortuary,

14850 Garrett Avenue,

Apple Valley. Memorial

service, 11:00 AM on

Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018,

with a visitation one hour

before at the funeral
