Vernon NY adult care fa-


Heidi Gartner, the

daughter of Emil and Ger-

trude (Michulitz) Gartner

was born on December 16,

1926 in Grossheiden,

Schlesien, where she was

educated and raised.

On December 3, 1955,

Heidi was united in mar-

riage to Lawrence Neigel

who was serving in the

United States Army in Er-

langen, Germany. They

resided in Germany until

they moved to the United

States. They were sta-

tioned in many locations

throughout the United

States and Germany until

Larry’s retirement, where

they made their final set-

tlement in Minot.

Lawrence died January

15, 2002. Following his

death, Heidi moved to

New York to live with her

daughter and family.

She enjoyed going to

church, walking and/or

biking, visiting with

friends and most of all

spending time with her

family watching her

grandchildren grow up.

Heidi is survived by:

Daughter Rene and

son-in-law Brad Wolfer, 3

Grandsons Eric, Collin

and Marc, Granddaughter

Lindsay and Great Grand-

daughter Annabelle all

residing in New York.

One sister Edeltraut Kahre

residing in Germany.

She was preceded in

death by: her parents,

husband, sisters Greta and

Elizabeth and brother
