Glen Allen Olson

Glen Allen Olson, 64,

Minot, formerly of Plaza,

died Friday, February 2,

2018 at his home. Glen

was born March 15, 1953

in Minot, the son of Vern

and Mae Olson. He was

baptized, confirmed and

married at First Lutheran

Church in Plaza. Glen gra-

duated from Plaza High

School where he played

basketball and was on the

track team for the Plaza

Lions.

Glen attended college at

North Dakota State School

of Science in Wahpeton

and received his degree in

Auto Body Repair. He

worked in Minot at

Jerome’s Collision Center

until the death of his fa-

ther, when he moved

home to take over the

farming operation.

Glen married Pamela Jo

Harstad, his high school

sweetheart, on July 11,

1975 in Plaza. Glen and

Pam lived on the family

farm northeast of Plaza

where they raised their

three girls; Laura Mae,

Leslie Jo and Lindsey

Elna. Glen was so proud

of his girls. He enjoyed

farming and spending

weekends at Olson Bay at

Van Hook. He loved to

fish but wouldn’t eat it.

He was a member of the

Plaza Fire Department

and First Lutheran

Church. He loved when

his grandchildren came to

stay, and he would take

them all to the Dollar

Store which they loved.

He enjoyed deer hunting

trips to Hatters Ranch

near Squaw Gap and casi-

no trips with the Olson’s.

Glen worked many years

for Harstad Construction

making oil sites and he

helped Art Harstad during

Harvest, running combine

and hauling gravel. He

also worked for Wheeler

Construction in Minot.

Glen and Pam moved to

Minot in 2004 when he

went to work for Earth

Movers running heavy

equipment until his

health declined.

Glen is survived by: his

wife of 43 years, Pamela

Jo; daughters, Laura Mae

Olson, Leslie Jo Nelson

(Mason) and Lindsey Elna

Olson; grandchildren,

Alexis Williams, Savanna

Knudson, Zachary and

Zeth Knudson and Jack-

son, Hailey and Owen

Nelson; mother, Mae

Mueller; sisters, Loretta

Coad (Matthew), Betty Ol-

son (Dean), Mary Sever-

ance (Brian); brothers, Or-

dean Olson (Beverly) and

Brian Olson (Shari) and

several nieces, nephews

and cousins.

He was preceded in

death by: his father, Vern

Olson; stepfather, Don

Mueller; niece, Brittany

Olson; in-laws, Art and

Elna Harstad; as well as

several aunts and uncles.

Funeral: Wednesday,

Feb. 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm in

First Lutheran Church,

Plaza.

Visitation: Tuesday

from 3:00-5:00 pm in

Langhans Funeral Home,

Parshall.
