Harry George Schiefer

It is with deep regret

the family announces the

passing of Harry George

Schiefer of La Quinta, CA.

Harry was born in Ken-

mare, ND on May 8, 1929.

He attended local schools

where he was active in all

sports, and was selected

to the All-State basketball

team. One of his proudest

accomplishments was at-

taining the rank of Eagle


He and Donna DeVore

were married in 1951.

They were married 66


Harry served as an off-

icer in the U.S. Army in

Korea. After his service,

he moved his young fam-

ily to Fargo, ND where he

attended and graduated

with a degree in Pharma-

cy from NDSU.

After working for a time

in Schiefer’s Drugstore in

Kenmare, he was recruit-

ed by Eli Lilly and Com-

pany and began his 28

year career with them in

Pasco, WA.

After retirement he and

Donna moved to Vista, CA

and later to PGA West in

La Quinta, CA. Golf was

his favorite recreation for

which he held many tro-

phies. He actually shot

his age at 65!

Harry is survived by:

his wife Donna; children

George Schiefer of Petalu-

ma, CA and Mary Beth

Morris of the UK, and four

grandchildren. Also a

much loved brother,

Donald Schiefer of Scotts-

dale, AZ and sister, Helen

Holland of Fargo, ND.

Adored by his family,

he will be sorely missed.
