Regina E. Klein, 91,

Minot, formerly of Velva,

passed away on Tuesday,

November 07, 2017 in a

Minot hospital.

Regina Eva Wald was

born on April 26, 1926,

the daughter of Joe and

Anna (Boehm) Wald in

Karlsruhe, ND. She was

raised and educated in the

Surrey, ND area, where

she graduated the

Valedictorian of her class.

On February 5, 1945, Re-

gina was united in mar-

riage to John J. Klein Jr., at

St. Leo’s Catholic Church

in Minot. They made their

home in Drake, ND for a

time before they moved to

Velva, where they raised

their eight children,and

farmed. While living in

Velva, Regina was a

member of St. Cecilia

Catholic Church where

she was active with the

Christian Mothers and

Catholic Daughters. They

moved into Minot in

1979.

While living in Minot,

Regina was a member of

Our Lady of Grace Cathol-

ic Church, where together

her and John attended

daily mass, and their love

for one another was

strengthened.

She enjoyed traveling to

see the children and

grandchildren, dancing at

the Knights of Columbus

and Moose Lodge, cro-

cheting doilies and af-

ghans, entertaining family

with her large chicken

dinners and playing

cards.

Regina is survived by:

(Gary) Reese, Denver, CO;

17 grandchildren: 27

great-grandchildren:

Siblings; brothers,

Harold (Elayne) Wald,

Norwich, and Jimmy

(Helen) Wald, Surrey, ND;

sisters,, Helen Keller, Lor-

raine (Edward) Ziegler,

Theresa Larson, and Mary

Ann (Robert) Larson, all

of Minot; and numerous

nieces, nephews and

cousins.

Regina was preceded in

death by: her parents,

son-in-law Chuck Frey;

brothers John Wald and

Andy Wald; sisters, Rose

Schwan, Appie Ra-

demacher, Ann Black, and

Leona Mosser; and

nephews, Robert Wald,

Donnie Wald and Rodney

Keller.
