Jerel ‘Jerry’ Rameden,

67, of Maddock, ND

passed away Sunday, No-

vember 26, 2017 at Trinity

Hospital in Minot, ND.

Memorial Service: will be

held at 10:00 AM Satur-

day, December 2, 2017 at

the Maddock Community

Center with Pastor Lu

Mathison officiating.

Visitation: will begin one

hour prior to the service

at the Community Center.

Burial: will take place at

the Persilla Watts

Cemetery in Rugby, ND.

Music will be provided by

Becky and Micki Brand-

vold.

Jerry K. Rameden was

born March 30, 1950 to

Joseph and Mary Jane

(Maas) Rameden in Minot,

ND. He was raised and

educated in Minot, at-

tending Lincoln and Be-

lair Elementary, Ramstad

Junior High and Minot

High. Jerry moved to the

west coast after school

where he lived in Wash-

ington State for a short

time. He moved back to

North Dakota and began

working as a mechanic in

Minot Service Stations

and Burlington Northern

Gavin Yard.

Jerry married Cleo

McKay in Rolette, ND on

May 26, 1979. They

opened the Texaco (Cono-

co) in Dunseith, ND as a

full service gas station

with repair shop in 1980

which they operated until

1989. They moved to Rug-

by, ND for a short time

and from there they

moved to Maddock, ND to

manage the MBC Bar.

When the opportunity to

take over the Maddock

Mini Mart arose they took

it. Jerry continued to

operate the Mini Mart un-

til an injury in February

2016 forced his retire-

ment.

Jerry had a big heart

and would drop every-

thing to help those in

need. He enjoyed collect-

ing and tinkering with

anything brass or copper,

lighthouses and crosses.

Jerry’s greatest joy was

time spent with his chil-

dren and grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by:

Cleo and three of his chil-

dren: Clint McKay of Rug-

by, ND, Clif (Jeanette)

Rameden of Rugby, ND

and Joseph Rameden of

Maddock, ND; his mother:

Mary Jane Armstrong of

Rugby, ND; 10 grandchil-

dren: Kendra, Krystal,

LaRissa, Kaitlyn, McKay-

la, Dillon, Kyler, Kelsey,

Taya and Alyssa; two

great-grandchildren: Car-

son and Emma; siblings:

Jeff (Noreen) Rameden,

JoNell Amsbaugh and

Joseph (Nancy) Rameden;

many nieces and

nephews.

He was preceded in

death by: his father,

Joseph Rameden; son,

Michael James Rameden;

close friend, Ruth (Floyd)

Smith; and the Mini Mart

coffee crew: John Scott,

Garvin McCloud, Harvey

Broten, Walt Winson and

Neal Dahl.
