Arlo Allen Volson

Arlo Allen Volson was
born in Butte N.D. where
he grew up on a small
farm in Sheridan County.
Arlo went to school at the
Country School House in
elementary and the Butte
School for intermediary.
Arlo joined the Army in
1968 and was assigned to
an artillery unit in Italy.
Once he was discharged
Arlo went into construc-
tion in Minot area. He was
married to the love of his
life Lonna Volson (Sivert-
son) in 1974 until her
passing in 2015. In 1975
his son Lytton Volson was
born. In 1978 Arlo moved
the family to Washington
State and began working
at Boeing. Starting at the
Auburn plant and then
moving to the Everett
plant in 1980. Working on
the 737, 767, and 777
planes throughout his
30-year career before fi-
nally retiring. His hobbies
ranged from reloading am-
munition to owning a
couple of Ford Mustang
and several Ford pickup.
People that knew Arlo
spoke about how he had a
hard- outer shell and was
a big softy on th inside.
Always ready to crack a
joke and tease someone at
every chance he had.
Arlo is survived by: a son,
Lytton; Daughter-in-law,
Sarah; Grandchildren,
Kayla and Allen; Sister,
Kathy; Brother, Steve;
Sister-in-laws, Elaine,
Darlene, Ioane, Charlotte,
and Gwen;
Brother-in-laws, Ernie,
Bob, and Bob; and many
nieces and nephews.
Arlo was preceded in
death by: his Wife, Lonna
Volson; Mother, Pearl
Volson-Quick; Father, Al-
len Volson; Step Father
Roy Quick; and many
Aunts and Uncles.
