Patricia L. Hammond
“Mudder,” 86, Minot, ND,
formerly of Sedalia, MO,
passed away on Thursday,
August 31, 2017, in a
Minot hospital.
Patricia Louise Esta-
brook was born on De-
cember 11, 1930, the
daughter of Clifford and
Anna (Miller) Estabrook
in Sedalia, MO. She was
raised and educated there,
where she graduated from
Smith-Cotton High School
in 1949.
In September of 1949,
she was united in mar-
riage to Otis W. Ham-
mond. They lived in
Sedalia until 1968, when
they moved to Minot, ND.
In 1983, they returned to
Sedalia to care for their
parents. Otis passed away
on April 13, 2011. Patricia
then returned to Minot in
2013 to be closer to fami-
ly.
She was an active
volunteer with the Red
Cross, Girl Scouts of
America, and a Den moth-
er with the Boy Scouts of
America, and she took
pride in raising her prized
show Siamese and
Himalayan cats. Patricia
loved all of her grandchil-dren, who have always
fondly referred to her as
“Mudder.”
Patricia is survived by:
Her children Glenna
Geyer, Minot, and Dennis
(Eileen) Hammond, Man-
dan, ND; four grandchil-
dren: Chris, Heidi, Steph
and Danial, several great-
and great-great grandchil-dren, many nieces and
nephews, and friend Mary
Burns, Sedalia, MO.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, hus-
band (O.W.) and a sister
Ruth Stivers and her cats
Mommy, Lil Bit, and Leo.
At Patricia’s request,
cremation will take place
and a private family ser-
vice will be held.
In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be given
to Relay for Life (Pettis
County MO)-Rest Haven
Convalescent Home,
Sedalia MO.
The family would like

Visiting Angels family for
their exceptional care.
