Steven Kirk Kolobakk-

en, 58, Minot, passed

away unexpectedly at his

home in Minot.

Steven was born on De-

cember 29, 1958, in Minot

ND, the son of Floyd and

Nancy (Bates) Kolobakk-

en. He was raised and

educated in Minot gra-

duated from Minot.

After that Steven

joined the Army in 1976.

He was enlisted for 3

years. Over the years

Steven moved on to drive

semi, eventually he was

able to own his own rig. A

few years went by and he

began moving furniture

and concrete work. Steven

loved science and math:

always willing to share

his knowledge and teach.

He was very kind and

creative man. In his spare

time Steven enjoyed

spending time with family

playing games like crib-

bage and Yahtzee and

having cookouts. Steven

liked to fish and camp: he

enjoyed visiting the desert

too. Steven was a big fan

of John Wayne movies.

Shawna (Attlilla)

Kolobakken-Downing, and

Tiffany (Jaime) Calavera

all of Minot and many

nieces and nephews and

cousins. He was preced-

ed in death by his: sister

er, Nancy Zumbo; mater-

nal grandmother, Adis

Bates and paternal

grandparents, Jim and

Lavern Wagner; aunt,

Margie Andrus and uncle,

Richard Kolobak

Memorial Service: Sa-

turday, July 29, 2017, at

11 a.m. at the

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home Chapel, Minot.
