Peggy A. Smetana, 67,
Minot, passed away, Sa-
turday, June 24, 2017 at
her sister’s home in
Minot.
Peggy was born on
April 2, 1950, in Minot,
ND, the daughter of Jerry
and Evelyn (Davis) Smeta-
na. Peggy graduated from
Minot High School in
1968, later attending
Minot State College where
she earned her bachelor’s
degree in 1972. She con-
tinued her education at
St. Scholastica College
where she earned her
master’s degree. She
taught in the Minot Public
School system for 30 plus
years.
Peggy was a member of
St. Leo The Great Roman
Catholic Church, where
she was active with the
choir. She was a member
of the Daughters of the
American Revolution. She
was also a member of the
Ward County Historical
Society.

L. Scott and Rebecca J.
(Gary) Volk, all of Minot
