Joanne Arndt

Joanne Arndt, 56, Vel-

va, ND, passed away

Wednesday, May 24,

2017, at Trinity Hospital,

Minot, in the presence of

her loving family.

Joanne was born on Au-

gust 21, 1960, in Roches-

ter, NY, the daughter of

Kenneth and Nancy (El-

liott) Moulton. She was

raised and educated in the

Batavia, NY area.

Joanne was united in

marriage to Ronald Arndt

on May 21, 1982, in Bay-

town, TX. The couple

lived there for a few

months with their

daughter, Angel, before

moving to the Butte/Keif

area of North Dakota,

where Ron was born and

raised. She and Ron en-

joyed 11 years as husband

and wife before she was

widowed on July 4th,

1993. After a couple of

years, she met and started

dating Darrel Stolt, and

they remained long-time

companions until his

death on December 16,

2016.

Joanne worked as a bar-

tender at the Mint Bar for

several years, as a cashier

at the Country Corner, she

worked at Dot’s Pretzels

for a short time and also

dealt blackjack and called

bingo for the Velva Le-

gion. The majority of her

working years in Velva

were spent at the Cenex

C-Store. Because her work

was primarily with the

public, Jo was known and

loved by many.

She will be dearly

missed by: her daughter,

Angel (Michael) Tobin,

grandchildren: Addison

and Lauryn; brothers: Tim

(Kate) Moulton, Kenneth

Moulton, Scott (Nettie)

Moulton; sisters: Joyce

Lawrence, Susan (Robert

Burdick) Upright, Felicia

(Michael) Engel, Jennifer

(David) Brewer, Melissa

(Chuck) Chriscaden, and

numerous nieces and

nephews.

Joanne was preceded in

death by: her parents,

Nancy and Kenneth, her

husband, Ronald and her

long-time companion,

Darrel.

Per Joanne’s request,

memorials are preferred

toward an education fund

for her granddaughters,

Addison and Lauryn.

Memorial Service:

Wednesday, May 31,

2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Oak

Valley Lutheran Church,

Velva.

Friends may sign a re-

gister book one hour prior

to the service at the

church.
