Freda Gall

Freda Gall, 98, Minot
and formerly of rural
Sawyer, died on Friday,
April 21, 2017, in a Minot
hospital.
Freda was born on May
28, 1918, near Sawyer to
Fred and Katherine (Stef-
fan) Huber. She was
reared and educated near
Sawyer. Following her
education, Freda was un-
ited in marriage on Sep-
tember 1, 1935, to Theo-
dore “Ted” Gall of Tyn-
dall, SD, in a double wed-
ding ceremony with her
sister Alvina.
They were married in a
rural church south of
Sawyer. Freda and Ted
made their home in Tyn-
dall for eight years. They
returned to North Dakota
to farm south of Sawyer
before moving to Minot in
1953. They resided at
1633 South Main Street
for many years.
While she lived in
Minot, Freda was em-
ployed at John Moses
Hospital for twenty-five
years before retiring in
1978. Ted died on No-
vember 13, 2001. Follow-
ing his death, she contin-
ued to make her home in
Minot. Most recently she
resided at the “The View.”
Freda was a regular at-
tendee of Immanuel Bap-
tist Church and its Shin-
ing Lite Circle and a form-
er member of Sawyer Bap-
tist church for many
years, where she served as
secretary of the ladies’ cir-
cle. Freda was an avid
bowler and bowled in a
senior league for many
years. She especially en-
joyed fishing, camping
and was a second grand-
mother to many children.
Freda’s loving family
includes numerous nieces
and nephews.
Freda was preceded in
death by her parents; hus-
band, Ted; brothers: Fred,
Oscar, John and Jacob; sis-
ters: Dora Sutter, Alvina
Gartner, and two infant
sisters, Louise and Susan.

April 27, 2017, at 11:00
a.m. in Immanuel Baptist
Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill
Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Wednesday
from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00
p.m. in Thomas Family
