Delores Huus Fuquay,

77, born May 25, 1939,

passed away on Easter

Sunday, April 16, 2017

due to complications from

surgery.

A native of Minot,

North Dakota, she moved

to Greensboro when she

married her husband,

Rodney Fuquay, a native

of Caswell County. They

lived in Greensboro and

were longtime members

of Christ Lutheran

Church. Mrs. Fuquay re-

tired from Procter and

Gamble in Greensboro

after 32 years.

Mrs. Fuquay was a lov-

ing wife, mother and

grandmother and she will

be missed for her loving

smile and the constant

support she gave to her

family. She was the bright

spot in everyone’s day

and had an unmatched

spirit of strength. She en-

joyed traveling out West

twice a year to visit fami-

ly.

Mrs. Fuquay was pre-

ceded in death by: her

parents, Clarence and Pal-

ma Huus, sister, Phyllis

Soli and brother, Gerald

(Bud) Huus.

She is survived by: her

loving husband of 57

years, Rodney Fuquay of

the home, sons Jeff (Julie);

Brian (Karen); and Tim

(Cheryl). She is also sur-

vived by six grandchil-

dren: Jennifer Bishop (and

husband Brian); Amanda

Fuquay, Justin Fuquay,

Morgan Fuquay, Allyson

Fuquay and Michael Fu-

quay. She is also survived

by her sister and

brother-in-law, Harriet

and Mylon Torgerson and

brother C. Leroy Huus.

Visitation was held for

Mrs. Fuquay on Wednes-

day April 19, 2017 at

Forbis & Dick Funeral

Home at 1118 N. Elm St.,

Greensboro, NC 27401

from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A

funeral service will be

held on Thursday, April

20, 2017 at 11:00 A.M at

Christ Lutheran Church,

presided over by Re-

verend Tony VanCura, at

3600 Lawndale Dr.,

Greensboro, NC 27408.

Interment to follow im-

mediately at Lakeview

Memorial Park, 3600 N.

O’Henry Blvd.,

Greensboro, NC 27405.
