Fred Johnson

Fred ‘Fuzz’ Ethni John-

son of Osceola, WI, 77,

passed away at home Fri-

day, March 24, 2017. He

was born on January 1,

1940 in Lorraine Town-

ship, Wisconsin to Fred

and Lucille (Reisburg)

Johnson at the family

farm. He attended Indian

Creek Elementary and

Frederic High School,

where he graduated in

1958. After two years in

college at River Falls and

LaCrosse, Wisconsin, he

joined the United States

Air Force in 1961. He

served for four years and

was stationed in both

Florida and the Philip-

pines. After leaving the

Air Force in 1966, Fred

started working for NCR

Corporation in Minneapo-lis and spent 34 years

there as a technical

representative, until his

retirement in January

2000.

Fred married Mary Ann

Martin on September, 9,

1967 in Frederic, Wiscon-sin. Due to his job at NCR,

they lived in Minneapolis,

Houston, San Antonio

and Beaumont, Texas, as

well as Davenport, Iowa

and finally, Minot, ND,

where they lived for over

30 years. They moved to

Osceola, Wisconsin in

2011.

Fred was a member of

the Moose Club and a life

time member at the Amer-

ican Legion and VFW.

While living in Minot, he

enjoyed golfing at the

Souris River Golf Course

and playing Pinochle at

the Moose Club.

Survivors: His wife of

49 years, Mary Ann; his

two sons, Neil, his favor-

ite, (Eileen) of Albu-

querque, NM and Paul

(Jaime) of Brooklyn Park,

MN; his three grandsons,

Carson, Ashton and An-

thony; his sister Eleanor

Hunt of Boring, OR; and

cousin Delorus (Bob) Lar-

sen of Osceola, WI; along

with many nieces and

nephews.

He was preceded in

death by: his parents, sis-

ters Adanell Smith and

Eileen Perry, his

brother-in-laws Richard

Perry, Jerry Hunt and Al-

len Smith, and both his

paternal and maternal

grandparents.

There will be a celebra-tion of life on April, 1

2017 at Friendly’s Bar and

Grill, 312 Main St. in Star

Prairie, WI from

1:00-4:00pm. Arrange-

ment by the Grandstrand
