Randy Dahl

Randy D. Dahl, 53, of

Williston, North Dakota,

passed away Thursday

morning, February 16,

2017, at the CHI St. Alex-

ius Health Williston Med-

ical Center.

His funeral will be cele-

brated Monday morning,

February 20, 2017, at

11:00 AM at First Luth-

eran Church in Williston.

Rev. Martin Mock will of-

ficiate and interment will

follow in the Good Hope

Cemetery in Keene, North

Dakota at 3:00 PM.

A family service open

to family and friends will

be held on Sunday even-

ing, February 19th, at 5:00

PM at the Everson Cough-

lin Funeral Home Chapel.

A very special child

was born on October 15,

1963. God knew that he

would need a very special

family. He chose John and

Mildred (Sorenson) Dahl.

He was welcomed by his

ten older siblings, who

adored him.

On September 6, 1968,

Randy entered Grafton

State School, where he re-

ceived an excellent educa-

tion. While at Grafton,

some of his accomplish-

ments were; becoming a

confirmed member of the

Lutheran Church, and

participating in the 1983

International Special

Olympics in Baton Rouge,

Louisiana. He placed fifth

in the nation in gymnas-

tics. As a Special Olympi-

an he traveled to Wash-

ington, DC and did a pan-

tomime for President

Ronald Reagan.

In 1986, he moved to

Williston, ND. While liv-

ing in Williston, he was

employed by Walmart

where he was named Best

of the Best – an award

from the North Dakota As-

sociation for Persons in

Supported Employment

in 1998.

Randy worked at

Trappers Kettle where he

won the same award in

2009. He then worked at

the recycling center. Ran-

dy retired in 2013.

Randy was preceded in

death by: his mom, dad,

brother, Duane, sister,

Darlene Hurt, and beloved

nephews Craig Skaar and

Flint Dahl.

He is survived by: his

sisters, JoAnn Faulkner,

Judy (Cliff) Skaar, Sandy

(Russell) Johnson, Julie

(Harvey) Fliginger, and

Bonnie Belcourt; his

brothers, Dave Dahl, Clif-

ford (Debbie) Dahl, and

Eugene (Beth) Dahl; and

sister-in-law Margaret

Dahl.
