Minnie Moum
Minnie Moum, age 90
of Bottineau, died Friday
at a Bottineau nursing
home. Her funeral will be
held on Tuesday at 11:00
am at the First Lutheran
Church in Bottineau.
Visitation will be Monday
from 1:00 pm until 9:00
pm at the Nero Funeral
Home in Bottineau.
Minnie Moum, a
daughter of Andrew and
Christina (Gartner)
Brandt, was born on April
22, 1926 at Kramer. She
was raised on the family
farm near Kramer and gra-
duated from Kramer High
School in 1944. On June
10, 1945 she married her
first love, Arlin Moum at
the Mouse River Church
near Landa. They lived
and farmed in the Kramer
area for 9 years before Ar-
lin’s job too them to vari-
ous locations around
North Dakota. They later
settled in Newburg before
retiring to Bottineau in
1983. Arlin passed away
on April 1, 2009.
Minnie was a member
of the First Lutheran
Church in Bottineau. She
also enjoyed volunteering
at the Braille Center.
Minnie passed through
life with much love and
happiness. Anyone that
knew her knew what a
kind and caring person
she was. She always saw
the best in everyone. She
was an avid reader and
enjoyed spending time
with her family.
She is survived by: her
daughter, Nina and her
husband Gabe Sattler Sr.
of Bottineau; sons, Curt of
Westhope, Rick and his
wife, Pam and their chil-
dren, Josh (Amanda) and
Jessica of Bottineau, and
Scott and his wife, Terri
and their daughters, Alys-
sa and Adrianna of Minot;
sister, Emma Stroehl of
Sun City, AZ; step-
grandchildren, Shanna
(John) Field, Dustin (Bet-
sy) Myaer, Gabe (Brenda)
Sattler, Jr., Ann (Gary)
Zorn, Julie (Bill) Sacken-
reuter and Tammy Sattler;
and numerous stepgreat-,
stepgreat-great-grandchildren
and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her hus-
band and parents, she was
preceded in death by her
son, Barry; grandson, Jake
Moum; siblings, Edwin,
Alvina, Walter, Lily,
Lorine Edna and infant
sister, Amelia.
She will be in our
hearts forever.
