Ferol was born on his

farm south of Columbus,
ND on December 3, 1924.
He was the oldest child of
Fern and Ervin Brenno.
He started working at a
very young age after his
father Ervin’s passing.
Ferol was married to
Myrtle Nordtvedt on Sep-
tember 21, 1951. They
celebrated their 65th wed-
ding anniversary this past
year leaving many happy,
loving memories of love
for each other and family.
Out of that love they had
three children.
Ferol started working as
a farm hand, later joined
the Traux Coal Mine and
retired his work efforts at
Baukol Noonan. Ferol was
a hard worker and would
come home from long
hours to then farm and
tend to his cattle and
horses. After he retired he
did not sit still, he contin-ued and loved to help his
neighbors and friends
with farming.
He was a long time
member of Trinity Luth-
eran Church in
Columbus, ND, and held
many positions while
serving his faith. He
belonged to the Lion’s
Club, and was a loyal
Whist and Pinochle card
player.
He enjoyed raising
horses as a hobby, watch-
ing State High School
Basketball tournaments,
the Minnesota Twins, eat-
ing a hot breakfast and
Lefse, finishing puzzles,
playing a “competitive,
yet friendly” game of Pi-
nochle or Whist, and mak-
ing sure that his Good-Bye
always included a “LOVE
YOU ALL!”
