James Cyril Tuchsch-
erer, 83, Rugby, died on
January 20, 2017 at Trini-
ty Homes in Minot, North
Dakota. He was born on
February 6, 1933 to
Kasper and Mary (Selen-
sky) Tuchscherer in Rug-
by. He was raised on a
farm near Rugby, lived
and farmed there until he
moved to Rugby. Jim
resided at the Harold S.
Haaland Home for 11
years and was a member
of the Knights of
Columbus Council #
4136. He enjoyed collect
ing coins, gardening and
raising livestock on the
farm. He should be
remembered as a man that
liked to have fun and
laugh.
Jim is survived by his
brother Rev. Vincent J.
Tuchscherer and his sister
Delores Roller, both of
Fargo and a special niece,
Margie Zietz of Burling-
ton and many nieces and
nephews. He was preced-
ed in death by his parents
and brothers, Dominick,
Roy, and Frank, and sis-
ters Catherine Brandon,
Magdaline Herbage, An-
nemarie Weiler, and
Francis Bachmeier .
Funeral services will
be held on Thursday,
January 26, 2017 at 2:00
P.M. at Little Flower
Catholic Church in Rug-
by. Rev. Thomas Graner
and Rev. Vincent J.
Tuchscherer will officiate
the mass. Glenda Mack
will be the organist and
Robert Graber will be the
song leader. Casket bear-
ers will be Ed and Steve
Brossart, Gerold Pfeifer,
Ron Volk, Cole, Craig, and
Nicholas Zietz.
Mr. Tuchscherer will be
buried in Little Flower
Catholic Cemetery in Rug-
by in the spring.
Visitation will be on
Thursday, January 26th
from 12:30 P.M. until the
time of the service at Lit-
tle Flower Church .
