fully passed away on De-
cember 2, 2016 at the
Good Samaritan Nursing
Home at Mohall. Burial
will follow at the Fairview
Cemetery in Stanley. Visi-
tation is Friday from 10
a.m. to 5 p.m. at Springan
Funeral Home in Stanley.
Born in Stanley, ND on
May 8, 1932, Leonard was
the first child of Alice and
David Enander.
Leonard married Cla-
rine Benson on October
15, 1954 at First Baptist
Church in Kenmare. He
attended Minot State Col-
lege as well as Montana
State at Bozeman. His
teaching career continued
for approximately 35
years in various North
Dakota and Montana
schools. Leonard was a
4-H Leader, FFA Advisor,
and High School Rodeo
Coach. He enjoyed teach-
ing all age levels from ele-
mentary through com-
munity college students.
Leonard followed and
supported all of his chil-
dren and grandchildren’s
many activities and
events such as sports,
church and school pro-
grams, 4-H, FFA, Rodeo,
and musical concerts. He
loved visiting and spend-
ing time with family. He
also enjoyed traveling
throughout the country
while driving semi.
Leonard is survived by
his children, Leonard
(Caroline) Enander of
Granville, Larrel (Connie)
Enander of Maricopa, AZ,
Janet (Lynn) Asheim of
Mohall, Ginny( Kirt) Jen-
sen of Kenmare, Cheryl
(Brian) Wehri of Hebron,
William Enander of
Mohall, Lisa (Hugh) McIn-
tyre of Bismarck, and Ran-
dy Enander of Antler;
many grandchildren and
several great grandchil-
dren; sisters-in-law, Bon-
nie Johnson of Williston
and Karen Benson of Ken-
mare; numerous nieces,
nephews, and cousins.
Leonard was preceded
in death by his parents,
Alice and David; wife,
Clarine; and brother,
Harold (Hap) Enander.
