Jeanet Oja

Jeanet Carol Oja, 59,

Minot, formerly of Devils

Lake, ND, passed away,

Friday, December 23,

2016 at her home in

Minot.

Jeanet Carol Oja (Grand-

ma Juice) was born on

February 10th, 1957 to

Kenneth and Margaret

(Johnson) Reichenberger

in Minot, ND.  She attend-

ed school in Minot, ND

through the 2nd grade,

Surrey, ND up to the 8th

grade, and Devils Lake,

ND, where Jeanet graduat-

ed high school in 1975.

After highs school Jeanet

met and married Paul G.

Wentz then later di-

vorced, after having four

amazing children which

Jeanet adores.

Jeanet went on to col-

lege in Devils Lake and re-

ceived her LPN degree,

she then went on to Minot

State University and gra-

duated with her Bachelor

of Science Degree in

Nursing in 1984. After

college Jeanet went into

the Army Reserves and

was deployed to Desert

Storm where she was a

Medical Surgical Nurse

with the 311th Evac Hos-

pital SWA, she received

an Army Service Ribbon

and the National Defense

Service Medal.

Jeanet married

Laurence “Larry” Oja on

July 14th, 2000.  She was

a very hardworking dedi-

cated mother, she always

worked more than one job

to provide for her chil-

dren and family. She was

employed at REM as the

State Nurse, February 5th,

2016, she was diagnosed

with stage 4 stomach

cancer.

Jeanet was Oncology

Certified and worked in

this field for 17 years, she

touched many lived of

those who were going

through cancer and their

families helping them to

understand what was hap-

pening, with respect to

each and every patient or

family member. She loved

to play pranks and be silly

to get patients to laugh

and for a moment forget

their pain. Jeanet was in

nursing for 36 years. Dr.

Pat (Patanit Watana-

boonyakhet DO) and Dr.

Stephen Makoni, MD,

FAC Poncologist have a

lasting friendship from

her years working as an

oncology nurse, Jeanet

then becoming a patient

of Dr. Pat., she was a CPR

instructor and was Bio

Therapy Certified.

Jeanet was a member of

Bethany Lutheran

Church, Minot, ND. She

loved to spend time with

her kids and grandkids.

She loved to crochet,

paint, do woodworking

and handiwork. She will

be missed by so many,

and will have a place in

so many hearts.

survived by her husband,

Laurence “Larry” Oja,

Minot, her four children,

Charity (Gary “Gunny)

Haugland and their chil-

dren Catherine “Cat”, An-

thony Haugland, Levi Bar-

tram of McVille, ND and

Sarah Wentz and her chil-

dren, Madyson, Jason,

Paris and Gage of Minot,

ND;  Josh Wentz and his

son, Josh Jr. of Minot, ND;

Paul Wentz and Vanessa

of Minot, her brothers and

sisters, Renee Reichen-

berger, Minot, ND, Susan

(Bruce) Sloan, Ruthville,

ND,  Dwight (Ardis)

Reichenberger, of AZ,

Tony (Carletta) McDaniel

of AZ, Ray Reichenberger,

OR, Clayton Reichen-

berger of CA, Robert

Reichenberger, OR, along

with many more nieces,

nephews and family.

Jeanet is preceded in

death by her

grandparents, William

and Martha Reichen-

berger, Leo and Mary

Johnson, (parents) Ken-

neth and Margaret (John-

son) Reichenberger, her

brothers Kenneth

Reichenberger, JR and

Larry Reichenberger.

Visitation: There will be

no reviewal, but friends

may sign a guest register

on  Tuesday, December

27, 2016 from 4 p.m.  to 7

p.m. at the

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Minot, ND
