Jeremy Hull, Minot, sentenced for felon in possession of a firearm
Jeremy Lee Hull, 33, Minot, was sentenced on Thursday to two years in prison, with a requirement that he serve 180 days, for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon on Sept. 19.
Hull pleaded guilty to the Class C felony charge on Thursday in district court in Minot before Judge Stacy Louser.
Louser gave Hull credit for 58 days already served in jail and eight days of good time earned. She also ordered him to serve two years of supervised probation and to pay $525 in court costs.
The seized firearm is to be surrendered to law enforcement.
Ward County State’s Attorney Roza Larson said Thursday that the state dismissed a Class C felony aggravated assault charge against Hull on Thursday as part of a plea agreement. Hull had been accused of attacking a fellow inmate at the Ward County Jail in March and knocking out his front tooth. Hull was serving a sentence in the jail for having sex with a 17-year-old girl and plying her with alcohol.
