Eloise Ogden/MDN Various organizations and agencies filled the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Minot on Thursday to provide veterans with information about benefits and other services for them. This was the seventh annual North Central Veterans Stand Down. The original Stand Down for Veterans was modeled after a concept used during the Vietnam War to provide a safe retreat for units returning from combat operations.
