Timothy Sprenger, Minot, charged with punching fellow inmate in head

Timothy James Sprenger, 32, Minot, is accused of punching fellow inmate Ethan Moses in the back of the head on Friday while Moses was watching television.

Sprenger is charged with Class B misdemeanor simple assault. He made an initial appearance in district court in Minot on Monday.

Sprenger is scheduled to go to trial on Nov. 7 on charges of Class A felony gross sexual imposition and Class A felony continuous sexual abuse of a child. Sprenger allegedly abused a baby and a toddler in 2004, when he was in his late teens. The case didn’t come to light until 2017, when Sprenger allegedly wrote a confession that was discovered by a family member and reported to authorities.
