North Dakota LGBTQ Summit taking place starting Oct. 5

The 2018 ND LGBTQ+ Summit: United Across North Dakota will be taking place Oct. 5 through Oct. 7 at the Baymont Inn in Mandan.

The purpose of the event is to bring together members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies to provide networking and support, to build a plan and a strategy and to provide education. There will be discussions on what programs are available and needed to promote LGBTQ health and wellbeing in rural ND, including family policy, LGBTQ youth and elderly and community partnerships.

The summit is open to all LGBTQ individuals and allies in rural North Dakota. Registration is required by Sept. 28.

The 2018 ND LGBTQ+ Summit is hosted by the North Dakota Human Rights Coalition, Dakota Outright, Red River Rainbow Seniors, FM Pride Collective, Equality Federation and the National Center for Lesbian Rights.
