Weekend events were busy places to be

Two festivals held had successful turnouts

Saturday and Sunday were busy days for the Minot community as the Minot Festival on Main and Minot Food Truck Festival were held. With each offering a unique array of events for attendees, it kept the days busy.

According to Eric Hansen, the Minot Festival on Main has been going on for at least 20 years. He said this year’s event was fabulous.

“It was a little chillier than we wanted, but it was still a great time,” he said.

For the second year of the Minot Food Truck Festival, the turnout was around the same as their first year, though they were still calculating. According to Eric Thoemke, it was an amazing turnout.

“Sometimes for a second year you can see a decrease, but it’s looking like we had just as many as our first year. It was really an amazing turnout,” said Thoemke.

Despite the last minute venue change, he said it all worked out and turned out great with a lot of people showing up to show their support.
