The Minot Recreation Commission will hold its Super Duper Reading Fun Day Thursday, Aug. 9, with a visit from the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon at the east end of the South Hill Softball Complex. All ages, from infants to adults, are invited for a day of games, music, jumping castles, face painting, clown, balloons, coloring contest with prizes, food and other activities. There is no charge to attend.
