Rebecca McDevitt, Minot, sentenced to prison for intent to deal meth

Rebecca Marie McDevitt, 22, Minot, will serve about two years in prison for intent to deliver methamphetamine in the Stanley area in June.

McDevitt was sentenced on the Class B felony charge on July 26 by Judge Gary Lee in district court in Stanley. He sentenced her to a total of four years in prison, with two years suspended, and three years of supervised probation, concurrent with other sentences. She received credit for 38 days already served.

She was given a deferred sentence on a charge of possession of heroin. He also gave her concurrent sentences on other charges of Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia, of fleeing from a police officer and for driving with a suspended driver’s license.

He has recommended that McDevitt be considered for drug treatment in prison.
