Jeremy Feller, Velva, pleads guilty to forgery

Jeremy Bryan Feller, 32, Velva, entered a guilty plea Thursday in district court in Minot to a Class A misdemeanor charge of forging a check on May 14.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Swartwout Auto Salvage in Ward County purchased a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier from Feller and wrote him a check in the amount of $100. Feller altered the check so it read $1,000 and cashed the check at EZ Money in Minot.

Sentencing is set for Oct. 17.

Court records show that Judge Doug Mattson also issued a bench warrant for Feller’s arrest on Thursday.
