Richard Laqua, Minot, charged with intent to deliver

Richard Michael Laqua, 56, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony intent to deal methamphetamine and other drug offenses, including possession of heroin, possession of alprazalam, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, an agent with the Ward County Narcotics Task Force had exchanged text messages with Laqua referring to narcotics and set up a meeting. Task force officers obtained a search warrant and searched the residence at 1704 3rd Street SE on Thursday afternoon. The search of Laqua’s residence turned up 5.3 grams of meth as well as marijuana, heroin, two alprazalam tablets and drug paraphernalia including a digital scale with drug residue.

William Adams, Minot, charged with intent to distribute

William Warren Adams, 57, Minot is charged in district court with intent to distribute meth, a Class A felony, and intent to distribute heroin, a Class B felony, as well as possession of meth paraphernalia.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, an officer on patrol stopped Adams’ car early Friday for a traffic violation. A search of the vehicle turned up 59.4 grams of meth, four grams of heroin, drug paraphernalia, and $1,674 in cash.
