HORACE -Farm Rescue, a nonprofit organization that provides planting, harvesting, haying and hay hauling assistance free of charge to farm and ranch families who have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster, received a grant totaling $250,000 from the Engelstad Family Foundation.

The money will be used to support Farm Rescue’s mission to assist farm and ranch families who have been stricken by unexpected crises. The contribution from the Engelstad Family Foundation comes at an important time, as Farm Rescue just completed its most successful year. One hundred twenty-seven farm and ranch families received assistance in 2017, which is more than double the total of any previous year.
