Cook registers with Minot police

Allan Joseph Cook, 40, a high risk sex offender, has registered with the Minot Police Department, according to a press release. He lives at 1730 1st Street SW, No. 4, in Minot. He was recently released from the James River Correctional Center in Jamestown.

According to the sex offender registry, Cook was convicted in February 2002 in Barnes County District Court of engaging in sexual activity with three girls between the ages of 15 to 17. Cook was 24 at the time he was convicted. He has also since been convicted of failure to register as a sex offender. His most recent convictions in Barnes County have all been for failure to register as a sex offender, according to court records.
