Students raise money for American Cancer Society

Shyanne Belzer/MDN Central Campus’s TSA, Technology Students Association, group put together a Magic Minute in the classrooms of both Central Campus and Magic City to give students a chance to raise money to be donated to the American Cancer Society. A Magic Minute is a signature event for the national TSA group and the state treasurer wanted to bring it to Minot. Students involved created proposals for both schools, created bags for the teachers, and had the one minute time frame bumped to two minutes to give students more time. The group had set a goal of at least $550 and exceeded that goal, raising $675 to donate to Laurie Odden, the Senior Community Development Manager for American Cancer Society.
