Moccasin Making Workshop offered at Knife River Indian Villages

STANTON – A moccasin making workshop will be offered at Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site near Stanton on Saturday, Feb. 24.

The program will provide an overview of Native American footwear styles with a focus on simple side-seam moccasins. Instruction will then be provided in making a foot pattern and constructing the moccasins.

The program starts at 1 p.m. CST and will held in the Visitor Center. It is free of charge and all supplies will be provided. Duration will be three hours. Due to the limitation in supplied materials, the program is only offered to the first 15 participants who call and reserve.
