Minot police looking for hit and run driver

Police are looking for the driver of a car involved in a hit and run accident Thursday afternoon that left multiple people injured.

According to police, three people were seen running from the striking vehicle at about 5:45 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of 16th Street NW. The two occupants of the vehicle struck during the crash were pinned inside their vehicle and had to be extricated by Minot Fire and Rescue. They were taken to Trinity Hospital by ambulance with serious, but non life-threatening, injuries. A passenger from the striking vehicle was located by witnesses before police arrived and was detained. He was also taken to the hospital by ambulance with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call Minot Central Dispatch at 852-0111 or Crime Stoppers at 852-7463. Anyone providing information leading to the arrest of the driver who fled from the scene of the injury crash may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
