Minot legislator in Grand Forks County injury crash
The North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to a crash at 4:10 p.m. about 2.5 miles outside of Larimore on U.S. Highway 2.
House Representative Andrew Maragos, of Minot, was driving east on Highway 2. Travis Holt, of Grand Forks, attempted to cross the eastbound lanes from the westbound lanes into a residential driveway and crossed too closely in front of Maragos.
The front of Maragos’ 2016 Buick Regal struck the right side of Holt’s 1997 Ford Explorer, after which both vehicles entered the south ditch.
Both Maragos and Holt were transported by Larimore Ambulance to a Grand Forks hospital with injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the State Highway Patrol.
NDHP, the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office, Larimore Fire and Larimore Ambulance responeded to the scene.
