Main Street Summit to be streamed live

BISMARCK – The Main Street ND Summit scheduled for Monday and Tuesday in Bismarck will be streaming some portions at

The live-streamed portion of the event on Monday will include the welcome keynote by Gov. Doug Burgum at 10:15 a.m. It includes Lt. Gov. Brent Sanford, speaking on “Start with Why” at 11:30 a.m., and Charles Marohn delivering the luncheon keynote on “Strong Towns” at 12:30 p.m.

This event will bring together local and national community development experts and advocates to share best practices and engage community leaders, entrepreneurs and students in envisioning North Dakota future. The two-day interactive summit will showcase community projects that build culture and grow vibrant communities; infrastructure projects with in-fill and historic revitalization; and workforce development and educational programs.

The Main Street Initiative is focused on three pillars of economic success – a skilled workforce, smart and efficient infrastructure and healthy, vibrant communities – to help North Dakota compete in a 21st century economy in which rapid technological advancement is changing every job, industry and organization.
