Accused drug dealer charged

A 23-year-old Minot woman is accused of intending to deal methamphetamine and oxycodone in Minot early Wednesday morning.

Ann Marie Elizabeth Swaim is charged with possession with intent to deliver meth and possession with intent to deliver oxycodone, both Class B felonies.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, an officer stopped Swaim at 4:35 a.m. when he spotted her driving at the intersection of University Avenue and 8th Street NW. He knew she had active arrest warrants in district court and in Minot Municipal Court. When he questioned her, she admitted that she had meth in her shoe. She kicked off her shoe and the officer found three packages containing meth, wrapped in plastic, and seven white tablets that she identified as oxycodone. Swaim told the officer she uses meth and was planning to sell 1/2 gram baggies for $50 each. The other baggie was for one gram, which she planned to sell for $100. She planned to sell the oxycodone for $4 to $5 a tablet. Swaim told the officer she doesn’t use the oxycodone but knows people use it as a painkiller.
