Wreaths laid at Rosehill Memorial Park

Ashton Gerard/MDN Minot resident Randy Davis works to secure a wreath Saturday at the Rosehill Memorial Park. He attended the ceremony with his wife, Brenda Davis.

Saturday, Dec. 16, marked the National Wreaths Across America Day around the nation.

To celebrate, Minot residents were invited to a ceremony held at Vincent United Methodist Church beginning at 11 a.m. to honor the fallen, veterans, and those currently serving in the military.

Following the ceremony, residents were invited to Rosehill Memorial Park for the laying and tying of wreaths. Most of the wreaths were laid in Section 12, a veterans section honoring those who served our country.

Many residents arrived at Rosehill to help lay and secure wreaths across the cemetery, some active duty, others veterans, and many civilians showing their suppport and pride.

Wreaths Across America in Minot organizers say the community is one that remembers their fallen heroes, honors those who served and teaches their children the value of freedom.
