The Western Plains Children’s Choirs present their Christmas Concert, “Sing We Now of Christmas,” on Dec. 10, in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall at 3 p.m. This program is their gift of music to all.

The choirs, Western Plains Junior Choir, Western Plains Children’s Choir, and Western Plains Youth Ensemble, are comprised of singers from grades 3 through 12. Schools represented include Minot Public Elementary Schools, Nedrose, Burlington, Jim Hill, Ramstad, Central Campus, Magic City Campus, Bishop Ryan, Surrey, Home school, South Prairie, Stanley, Mohall, Velva, and Des Lacs. The choirs are directed by Dr. Rebecca Petrik, Mr. Jonathan Clark, and Mrs. Jerlyn Langemo and accompanied by Miss Jasmine Massingill, Miss Shin Young Park, and Mr. Sean Bostrom. Guest instrumentalists are Mr. William Schilling, Miss Nikisa Gentry, Mr. Jonathan Clark, and Miss Nina Coster.

The program is free and open to the community. A free-will donation will be taken to support the Sandy Starr Scholarship fund and the Western Plains Junior Choir’s trip to the NDACDA convention in February.
