Classmates selected for promotion to colonel

Lt. Cols. Gary Kramlich and Rebecca McElwain were recently selected for promotion to the rank of colonel in the United States Army.

The duo share this career highlight after graduating together in 1992 from Minot High School.

Kramlich received his commission in 1996 from the United States Military Academy and currently serves as an operations and research systems analyst for the U.S. Africa Command located in Stuttgart, Germany. He is the son of Gary and Glory Kramlich of Minot.

McElwain commissioned into the U.S. Army Finance Corps in 1997 after graduating from North Dakota State University in 1997. She is currently a fellow at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Penn.
