Berthold police: Fugitive arrested after traffic stop

A 27-year-old fugitive was arrested following a vehicle stop in Berthold early Monday, according to a press release from the Berthold Police Department.

Luetenant House Jr., 27, was a passenger in the vehicle, according to the police chief. Open alcohol containers were located in the vehicle. House allegedly initially attempted to give false information about his identification but an ID was located. House was taken into custody after a dispatcher confirmed that he is wanted in California, Nevada, and Virginia. House was previously arrested in Virginia for robbing convenience stores and check cashing stores. A large knife was located under House’s seat, according to the press release.

House is being held at the Ward County Jail until he can be extradited back to Virginia.
