Minot airport receives improvement funds

WASHINGTON – Minot International Airport was awarded $1.83 million from the Federal Aviation Administration for airport improvements, U.S. Sens. John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp announced Monday.

The funds will be used to acquire a new snow removal vehicle, design a runway guidance system, support an environmental assessment to mitigate the impact of wildlife on the airport and reconstruct the apron and service road providing access to the southwest part of the airfield.
