State Fair Parade route
The North Dakota State Fair Parade route has been changed because of the construction on the east side of the viaduct on Burdick Expressway.
The route will be from Broadway to Burdick Expressway. The Burdick Expressway viaduct currently closed off will be opened and the parade units will go over the viaduct, then south on Ninth Street, east on Eastern Avenue and onto Eighth Avenue, entering the fairgrounds through the south entrance.
For those who live on the east side of the viaduct a route has been planned for anyone who needs to leave the area during the parade. If you live off 15th Street SE you will be able just during the parade to go north to Burdick and turn right (east). The bridge will be open (parade only). Drive to 19th Street SE and turn left (north), drive to Third Avenue SE, turn left (west), drive to 17th Street SE, turn right (north), drive to First Avenue SE, turn left (west), drive to 14th Street SE, turn right (north), drive to Fourth Avenue NE – now you can go either way. If you live around 11th Street SE you can cross Burdick and drive through the park.
Parade emcees will be located at the Trinity parking ramp (across from the courthouse) along Burdick Expressway and at Food Services at the corner of Eastern and Eighth Avenue SE.
